Everyone deserves a little joy
On November 19th our world came crashing down when our son Finn was airlifted to BC Children's Hospital.
We spent just over 4 weeks in the hospital with every specialized department head and team coming to meet with us, meet Finn and run test to come to a diagnosis.
After this time Finn was diagnosed with SMA type 1.
Finn's diagnosis was terminal, we did not know how much time we would have with our son, we did not know how often we would be in the hospitals care.
With the help of the nurses, Doctors, staff, outpatient care, in home care and assistance we were allowed to come home for Christmas.
We got to just be a family for a small amount of time. We got to cuddle on the couch and watch Christmas movies and put a Christmas tree up.
It was a short time, but the most special time.
With our fundraising this year we get to share our Christmas tree for Finn and raise money for BC Children's Hospital which in turn takes care of so many children and their families.
