Our Cause

In BC alone, there are 2,500 children and youth who are currently living with diabetes and that number is growing. Diabetes is a serious, lifelong and often life-limiting disease.

Your generous support will help ensure that all children living with diabetes experience better health outcomes, which has the power to impact their entire lives. You will also help enable researchers to make transformative new discoveries on their quest toward a cure.

All funds raised from Festival of Trees will allow us to get closer than ever to a cure for Diabetes.

Why do we get involved in BCCH’s annual Festival of Trees?

Hutcheson & Co. has been participating in Victoria’s Festival of Trees for many years now, in support of BC’s Children’s Hospital. As you probably all know by now, BCCH’s mission for monies raised by the festival is to continue providing world-class health care for ALL of BC’s children, with all the necessary and latest specialized tools and compassionate care that prioritize, specifically, children. 

Our firm has had, over the years, first-hand experience with the astounding work that BCCH provides for several of our staff’s children, right from life-saving cerebral shunt and ongoing neurosurgeries to repairs of and therapy for difficult and intricate physical disabilities. We would do anything for our children, and supporting a fundraiser such as the Festival of Trees is a fun and beautiful way to help BCCH get just that little bit better than it was before.
