An invitation to give 🫶🏽

Hello beautiful people! Likely,  if you’ve come across this page you have been in the scoop of things, but if you are unfamiliar with who I am or what I’ve been up to I would first love to invite you into my heart for the motivation and goal of this donation page. 

For a little while now I have been all talk about buzzing my head, for those of you who know me…this talk is extremely counter intuitive and highly unlikely considering I have always dreaded having to trim my ends every 100years because my long hair has always been hard for me to let go of. But the idea has resurfaced once again and taken a new shape, not in a YOLO way, but as a tender opportunity to reflect a glimpse of Jesus’ love for kiddos in our community who are battling cancer and other treatments that give them no choice in losing their hair. 

God has been opening my eyes to the abundance that we have to give, and the genuine love we ought to pour out onto others without expectation of return; an unconditional love not transactional love. Among other things in my personal life I believe He has highlighted my hair as not my own property to cling to, but as a gift to steward with gratitude and give joyfully. I am stoked for the opportunity to invite you into raising money to support kiddos on their extremely taxing journeys, as I await the day when the clippers come out and my hair is sent off to warm another’s head. The measurable goal that has been set is $5,000 and every drop of it goes to helping kids and their families who are fighting serious illnesses; any amount of support has an impact and is a huge win (and holds me more and more accountable to the big chop)! 

I created this page as an invitation into this space of giving, as an invitation to reflect on what it is that you have been holding tightly to. Where in your life do you have an opportunity to give with no expectation of return? How can we work with God in loving those around us? Where can you offer encouragement, lend a hand, pray for someone, give your time, reach out, love a stranger. And the coolest thing is none of it ought to be for our personal gain or glory, but to reflect all praise and worship to the only one who is deserving of it all… my friend and intentional creator Jesus Christ.
