Thank you for visiting and learning more about my hair journey. After becoming a new mother and having my newborn baby stay overnight at the hospital for a medical issue, I felt a tremendous sense of heartache and admiration for young children faced with critical medical diagnoses. I cannot ever claim to understand the overwhelming battles that families have to fight for their children’s health, but feel compelled nonetheless to support them with the only means I have available to me. Throughout my life, my hair has been my pride and joy, and it feels fitting to donate this part of myself to a brave young soul on their journey to recovery. I am extremely hesitant about asking others for funds, but with this being my fourth and final hair donation, I feel it would be fitting for me to step outside of my comfort zone and see if I can give beyond just my ponytail to help someone else.
