We’re helping kids be mighty
In February 2021, our daughter Indigo was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia. A rare blood disease, that is fatal if left untreated. After a failed attempt at a first-line therapy called IST, our team of doctors informed us Indigo needed a bone marrow transplant.
We spent a total of 132 nights, on the Oncology/BMT 8th floor. But it was all made so much easier by the amazing team of doctors, nurses, specialists and all of the other support staff at BC Children's hospital.
Thanks to this world class care, Indigo is now doing extremely well and thriving in her first year of kindergarten. She is living proof that Small is Mighty. We are only one story of the many families who are impacted daily by childhood illness.
