I’m helping kids be mighty
Kayla was born with congenital heart disease and had her first open heart surgery at 6 months old. She was a frequent visitor at BC Children’s Hospital for the first year of her life. Kayla’s quite used to doctor appointments and hospital visits that she knows how to use her toy stethoscope to listen to her own heart!
Kayla will need ongoing care and follow-up throughout her childhood at BC Children’s cardiology clinic. Her cardiac team has been so caring and supportive, not only to Kayla but to our whole family as well, answering all our questions and reassuring us Kayla is doing well. From the operation to the ICU to the ward, every health care provider we’ve come across at BC Children’s has been nothing short of amazing.
By participating in this fundraiser, we hope that other families with sick kids can get the care and support from BC Children’s too.
