We’re helping kids - like our daughter Ava! - be mighty

As the only hospital in BC devoted exclusively to kids, BC Children’s provides the specialized care that seriously ill kids need to fight their health battles.

Our daughter Ava was born on April 28 2024. She suddenly became critically ill at 38 weeks gestation, and was delivered by emergency c-section. She immediately required extensive life-saving measures and received specialized care and treatments during her hospital stay that were able to give her the best possible chance at a bright future. We are so grateful to the incredible staff who cared for Ava and helped us navigate the toughest period of our lives.

Amazing progress has been made in improving children’s health care. But the fact is, there’s still more to do when it comes to taking on the biggest health threats facing our kids.
