My Donation Story
In 2012, at age 11, I shaved my head and raised money for the organization Kids Cancer Care.
Now it's 2026, I'm 25 years old, and I'm ready to cut my long locks and raise money once more - this time for Wigs for Kids BC! While I won't be doing a full buzz this time, I've got more than enough hair to cut off to donate.
Alongside this cut, I'm raising money for the cost of one wig to donate alongside my hair. This money will be used to ensure a child in need can get a wig affordably and accessibly through Wigs for Kids BC.
On June 5, I will be cutting my hair to correlate with the BC Children's Hospital Fun Run that my boyfriend and I are participating in on June 7!
Wigs for Kids BC is a volunteer run, non-profit organization that also partners with BC Children's Hospital to donate wigs to children and families in need. Not only that, but they also fund the costs of necessary medical supplies and medications for cancer treatment that are not covered by MSP. They are an outstanding organization and are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year!
