Strong Foundations - Gifted Hands & Compassionate Hearts
For over 30 years, our family business has built strong foundations and relationships in Kamloops – but nothing prepared us for the foundation of hope we would need when our son was born. On New Year’s Eve in 1997, he arrived at 26 weeks’ gestation, weighing 1 lb 14 oz. He spent 3 ½ months at Children’s Hospital, and those days were filled with tiny triumphs, heartbreaking setbacks, and the constant fear of the unknown.
It was the gifted hands and compassionate hearts of the hospital’s team – and the unwavering love of our family and friends - that carried us through. Because of the village surrounding us, our tiny fighter grew into the remarkable 28-year-old man he is today – our living miracle.
We dedicate this tree to every child who battles, every family who waits and hopes, and every caregiver whose skill and kindness create miracles every single day.
