I’m Helping Kids Be Mighty
My life almost ended before it got the chance to start. Having entered the world with my umbilical cord wrapped around my neck, I like to say I won my first major battle right at birth. Thanks to countless prayers, and the hard work of doctors and nurses in the NICU, I survived. I've grown up to be healthy and sport-loving, able to push my body to its limits.
Every year, BCCH provides help to over 138,000 children. Unfortunately not every kid is lucky enough to have the smooth transition from hurting to healthy that I did. By fundraising, I hope to make sure that EVERY child is able to get the support that they need. Every dollar donated goes towards groundbreaking research, family support programs, and making sure equipment is top notch.
The wonderful people at BCCH gave me the ability to push myself to the limits, so that is what I plan on doing. I aim to run 10KM per day for 30 days straight. Jokingly, when I lose my breath running, sometimes it does feel like my umbilical cord is back right where it was. I hope that every step I take helps take us to a future where less and less children struggle.
