Welcome to the Fundraising page of the Gambia Pediatric Surgery Camp
A pediatric surgical team from BC Children's Hospital will be traveling to Banjul, Gambia in October, 2026 to participate in our fourth annual children's surgical camp. The Gambia Pediatric Surgery Camp creates an important opportunity for the Gambian and Canadian team to work and learn together to provide lifesaving surgeries to children in need. As the Gambia has just one Pediatric Surgeon to care for this entire nation's children, it will also serve as an important setting for teaching, learning, and exploring opportunities for quality improvement and capacity building.
We would like to warmly thank all of our generous donors who are supporting our Gambia-Canada partnership and the 2026 Gambia Pediatric Surgical Camp. All donations raised will help support essential medicines and medical supplies needed for children's surgery.
