Canoe Make A Difference?

As the only hospital in BC devoted exclusively to kids, BC Children’s provides the specialized care that seriously ill kids need to fight their health battles. Yukon families have to travel to BC Children’s Hospital for any care their children may need, we all have our own personal experience at the hospital or know someone close to us who has.

Amazing progress has been made in improving children’s health care. But the fact is, there’s still more to do when it comes to taking on the biggest health threats facing our kids.

My sister was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2023, and the impact this hospital had on her and our family is profound. The care and generosity seen in the workers touches your heart, and the comfortability they instil in patients is something my family has never forgotten. My sister made many connections with other children receiving cancer treatment, and her goal has been to find a way to give back to the hospital but also to the children still receiving care.

Your donation to my fundraising page will help advance care for kids across the province and support experts at BC Children’s Hospital in their quest to conquer childhood illnesses.

Your donation to my fundraising page will help advance care for kids accessing cancer care across BC and the Yukon.

My father, my sister who was diagnosed with Leukaemia, and my younger sister, along with a team of 5 other Yukon First Nations paddlers will be participating in the Yukon River Quest to raise awareness and support for Childhood Cancer. It is a 716km race from Whitehorse Yukon To Dawson City, every km we paddle is in recognition and support for the patients still receiving care at the hospital. We ask you to donate to every km we are paddling for these children.
