We are hosting a Haunted House for all ages (we will have guides for the little ones). We will be open from 6-10pm. Entrance is by donation. This years theme is "Walk Down Memory Lane"
I'm Helping Kids Be Mighty
As the only hospital in BC devoted exclusively to kids, BC Children’s provides the specialized care that seriously ill kids need to fight their health battles.
Amazing progress has been made in improving children’s health care. But the fact is, there’s still more to do when it comes to taking on the biggest health threats facing our kids.
Your donation to my fundraising page will help advance care for kids across the province and support experts at BC Children’s Hospital in their quest to conquer childhood illnesses.

Thank you to the de Balinhard family for allowing us to honor their son, Chase. We know it was a hard night as this was his favorite holiday. We hope that there was some comfort in knowing that he touched not only our lives but everyone in the community. His spirit will always live on. Share
Halloween 2025 - The Finale
Monday 15th Sep
Our names are Shane and Stacey Yarwood and our family (and amazing neighbours) hold a Spooktacular Event at our home every Halloween night in the Clayton neighbourhood to raise funds for BC Children’s Hospital. We are proud to say this is our 16th year and it has become an event that everyone looks forward to!! We have an amazing neighbourhood and have many homes that go “all out” in decorating to make it an exciting and fun night for the families. We chose this foundation as our nephew was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2010 and received amazing support and treatment by the entire staff at the hospital.
After much thought and consideration, we have decided as a family that this will be our final year. We have all gotten older and we feel it’s time to start supporting this amazing cause in different ways. We are extremely sad but know that it’s time.
As many people know, we lost an important member of our community this year - one who loved Halloween just as much as we did. His name is Chase de Balinhard. He was a 15 year old boy filled with life, love, enthusiasm, creativeness, compassion, spunk and a few swear words. He deeply loved his family, friends, cars, music, kayaking, cats, Halloween and Terry Fox. He wanted to help change the world. With permission from his parents, we are honoring Chase’s memory and dedicating our final year to this amazing young man. We are honored to have known him, even if it was for a short time. He acted in our haunted house one year and scared the “you know what” out of them. We will always be grateful for that.
As this is our 16th year and Chase would have been 16 this year, we felt it was fitting to set our goal at $16,000.
