為何需要綜合健康護理中心？ | Why This Centre Is Needed

孩子雖少 需求卻巨大
患有健康複雜狀況的兒童雖然不足兒童人口的 1%，卻佔超過三分之一的兒科住院個案。許多家庭需要同時跟進 6 至 14 個專科服務，還要協調社區內其他醫護資源。綜合健康護理中心的其中一項核心使命，就是協助家庭統籌醫療安排，減輕家長在照顧路上的壓力。
Why This Centre Matters
Children with health complexity represent less than 1% of the pediatric population, yet account for more than one-third of pediatric hospitalizations. Many families coordinate care across six to 14 subspecialty teams, in addition to community-based services. One of the Centre for Health Complexity's key goals is to help families navigate and coordinate care more effectively, reducing caregiver burden and improving quality of life.

Supporting the Centre for Health Complexity
The Chinese Canadian Committee is proud to support the Centre for Health Complexity, a first-of-its-kind facility that will help children and youth with complex health conditions across BC and Yukon. By coordinating care, supporting families, and improving access to specialized services, the centre will transform the way care is delivered. As we look ahead to its opening in 2028, we invite our community to join us in creating a brighter future for children and families.
