Pie Throw is the BC mining industry’s signature event in support of BC Children’s Hospital. Each year, leaders from across the industry take part in a friendly fundraising challenge to help raise critical funds for kids across the province.
Why I’m Participating in Mining for Miracles
I’m proud to be representing Trigon in Mining for Miracles in support of BC Children’s Hospital. This will be my third time taking part, and each year it means just as much to me. The reason is simple: children in need can’t ask for this support themselves, it’s up to all of us.
As a father of four, and a very proud grandfather to Kian (10) and Jalen (2), with a granddaughter arriving very soon, the importance of children having access to world‑class medical care is never lost on my wife Lori and me. When kids need help, they deserve it without hesitation.
BC is fortunate to have many incredible charities, all worthy of support. If you’re unable to contribute this time, I completely understand and respect that. At the same time, I’ve learned that unless we ask, causes like this can sometimes be unintentionally overlooked.
So I’m humbly asking for your support. Whether it’s $5, $20, or whatever you’re comfortable with, every single dollar truly makes a difference. These donations help ensure children receive the care, treatments, and opportunities they need to live the fullest lives possible.
