In my Fathers Honour: 21.1K for children’s cancer

I’m Helping Kids Be Mighty

Hi, my name is Anika Robertson. On February 6, 2026, I lost my father, Larry Allen Robertson, after a four-year journey with Stage 4 renal cell cancer.

My dad was an athlete, a businessman, an entrepreneur, a fashionista, and, above all, a wonderful father. He lived a full life, and I feel incredibly lucky to have had him as my dad.

In his honour and in celebration of his 74th birthday, I am challenging myself to 31 days sober while training to run a half marathon; 21.1 kilometres on November 8.

Throughout those 31 days, I’ll be raising money for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation to support childhood cancer research and help advance the treatments and care available to children and their families.

Cancer has had an immeasurable impact on my family. Through this challenge, I hope to honour my dad’s life while helping create a future where more families get more time with the people they love.

31 days. 21.1 kilometres. For Dad. ❤️
