I'm Helping Kids Be Mighty
Hi! My name is Gabriella and I am 8 years old. My mom is helping me write this page.
I have been growing my hair since I was born. These last fews months I have been wanting to cut my hair. My mom has talked to me a lot about donating my hair to Wigs for Kids BC so they can make wigs for kids that are sick.
We would also like to raise as much money as possible for BC Children's Hospital Foundation. My brother and I are very lucky to be healthy however, many kids can't say the same.
As the only hospital in BC devoted exclusively to kids, BC Children’s provides the specialized care that seriously ill kids need to fight their health battles.
Amazing progress has been made in improving children’s health care. But the fact is, there’s still more to do when it comes to taking on the biggest health threats facing our kids.
Your donation to my fundraising page will help advance care for kids across the province and support experts at BC Children’s Hospital in their quest to conquer childhood illnesses.

Gabriella's Hair Growth over the Years
Sunday 28th SepShare@ggamore2 Message My daughter Gabriella, 8 years old, has been growing her hair since she was born. She is ready to cut it and donate her hair to Wigs for Kids BC. BUT… before we do, we are wanting to raise money for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and would sincerely appreciate your support. Even if you cannot make a monetary donation, please share this so not only can we meet our goal, but hopefully surpass it. Gabriella’s fundraising page is at: https://fundraise.bcchf.ca/s/29090/41626/w 130 BC children are diagnosed with cancer each year. 20% of kids with cancer still don’t make it - that’s 1 in 5 kids. 75% of kids who survive suffer long-term side effects. Our family has been fortunate to be healthy and never need the use of BCCH, aside from a fractured finger here and there. Unfortunately not all families can say the same. As a mom of 2, I couldn’t imagine the pain and stress of having your child diagnosed with cancer or a severe illness. I wanted to take this opportunity of my daughter cutting her hair, to help both my children understand how lucky we really are and to teach them that there are always ways to think of others and do some good.
