Remembering Peyton...
Dear Family, Friends, and Colleagues,
Thank you for being here and for holding Peyton and our family in your hearts.
Peyton passed away on June 2, 2026. She was 17 years old and in grade 11.
Peyton lived a full and beautiful life. She was a dedicated student who loved travelling, cherished her close circle of friends, and enjoyed an active social life. Despite all of this, she struggled with mental health challenges. As her family, we did everything we could to support her and keep her safe. Even so, the weight she carried became too much.
If you knew Peyton, you knew her warmth, her humour, and her deep care for others. She had a beautiful way of bringing people together.
Whether it was through laughter, shared interests, or simply her presence, Peyton made people feel seen and connected.
She found joy in giving back. On weekends, she loved volunteering at the Still Fabulous Thrift Shop. It meant so much to her to work alongside other volunteers, connect with regular customers, and know that what she was doing helped support BC Children’s and Women’s Hospitals.
This past year, Peyton created something truly special at her school. She started a club called Youth 2 Youth at Kitsilano Secondary, where students would come together at lunch to make friendship bracelets with positive messages for patients and their families at BC Children’s Hospital. What began as a small idea quickly grew—over 70 students joined. It was so very her—kind, thoughtful, and focused on lifting others up.
If you wish to honour Peyton, we invite you to do so in a way that reflects her caring spirit. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. All contributions will directly support youth mental health services and initiatives:

I am so sorry for you loss Michelle. I have worked with you in the past. I cannot imagine what your family is going through. God never gives us what we cannot bear. You all can and will be okay. Stay with your hurt, stay with the sadness, stay with life. Peyton would want that for you. I will see you, I am very sure on the other side of this.
