Mighty Like Naya!
Naya is 12yo. She suffers from a brain injury as a result of a brain bleed after birth. Naya has Hydrocephalus. There is no cure. And much like a stroke, part of her brain no longer functions normally and she now lives with permanent cognitive impairment.
BC Children's Hospital saved her life...more than once. Life support, heart surgery, multiple brain surgeries, blood transfusions and more. There are just too many to list.
We owe her life to BCCH and the wonderful doctors, nurses, technicians and staff who made helped us through each procedure and each hospital stay.
One day, we hope there will be a cure. But until then, we know that BC Children's hospital will always be there for us. We thank you for your support.
