Volunteering at RBC Race for the Kids

RBC’s Race for the Kids depends on the dedication of over 500 volunteers each year and that’s why we need you!

As an RBC Race for the Kids volunteer, you become a valued ambassador for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. No role is too small to make us mighty and each volunteer is crucial in ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for race participants, spectators, and supporters. By volunteering, you commit to upholding our values and prioritizing safety on race day.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome, however, children 16 years and under must have parental or guardian consent and be supervised by their parent, guardian or adult at all times while working together in the same volunteer role.

PRE-RACE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Package Pick-Up: Set-up package pick-up area, sort team boxes and assist with the distribution of packages to participants.

Set-Up Crew: Help set up tents, tables and chairs in other general set-up the festival area and be prepared to assist with other general set-up for the race. May require heavy lifting.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS

RBC Race for the Kids has a dedicated, active committee, some of which have been on the committee for 10+ years. The Committee is an integral part of what makes RBC Race for the Kids such a successful, long-standing event. They volunteer their time throughout the year and are involved in all aspects of the event, from supporting on event strategy to playing crucial roles in site set up and on event day.

The commitment and enthusiasm of each member helps us to collectively work towards a brighter future for sick kids across the province and the best possible health care and outcomes.
