Making a difference.
TLDR; Shaving + Donating more than 2 ft of hair, gown over 4 years with my sister to fundraise support for children battling cancer, and BC Children Hospital Foundation’s mission. Participating with my sister for the 5th time, in memory of our late grandmother who had battled cancer with the support and care of health professionals.
This is my first time participating in Balding for Dollars, together in solidarity with my sister, a 5th time participant. We lost our grandmother more than 20 years ago to cancer, and through the fundraising efforts would like to pass on hope, joy, community support in their journey to overcome what would otherwise be an arduous lonely journey, both mentally and physically.
I'm inspired by the work of BC Children Hospital Foundation, so I wanted to raise money by fundraising my way.
