Crystal Ball is BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s award‑winning signature black‑tie gala.
Founded in 1986 by Isabelle Diamond, the event has raised over $65M and has brought together the province’s leading philanthropists to advance research, care, and innovation across BC Children’s Hospital.
In 2026, Crystal Ball will celebrate its 40th and final year, honouring the remarkable community whose generosity has helped shape children’s health in B.C. for four decades. This milestone evening is both a celebration of everything Crystal Ball has made possible and an invitation to carry that legacy forward through the Crystal Ball Legacy Fund.

BC CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
BC Children’s is one of the world’s leading pediatric hospitals, home to clinicians and researchers whose expertise and innovative thinking are advancing the future of care for children. What they have lacked is a dedicated source of funding to pursue the most promising of those ideas and prove what they can do.
That is what the Crystal Ball Legacy Fund, established in this 40th and final year, is built to provide. The greatest advances in medicine rarely arrive fully formed, and they often begin as early work that needs backing before the evidence is certain. The fund offers exactly that kind of seed capital, giving ideas the chance to be tested, refined and proven. The strongest among them go on to become a new standard of care that shape children’s lives for decades to come.
Every breakthrough starts somewhere.
Be part of what makes the next one possible.
