Supporting Mighty Kids!
Grateful. Blessed. Thankful. I associate these three words with BC Children’s Hospital because they saved my lil grandson’s life. When his Dads took him to the hospital on January 1st, 2021, it was the very quick actions of the cardiac care team who recognized his condition. He was then scheduled for open heart surgery to repair a mitral valve defect he had been born with 4 months earlier. Sasha, with his Dads by his side, was mighty! For the past 3 years, I have walked as part of ‘The Clarkers’ team – Chad, Matt and Sasha. This year, even though the other three members have moved to London, UK, I am carrying on the tradition and will be walking in the RBC Race for the Kids-4K on June 9th in Victoria, BC. This walk is to raise funds to continue the advancement of care for children throughout BC, providing crucial support to the wide range of medical programs at BC Children’s Hospital.
