Little Legends (formerly, Team Allergy)

Since 2017, Team Allergy has participated in the Sun Run and RBC Race for the Kids, and has raised over $100K to support food allergy research at BC Children's Hospital. This year, Team Allergy is running under a new name, "Little Legends".

The name "Little Legends" was carefully selected to symbolize the indomitable spirit and fortitude of our children. Despite their tender age, they embody qualities of greatness and resilience, making them true legends in their own right.

"Little Legends" is raising funds for the Food Allergy Immunotherapy (FAIT) Program, a collaboration of clinicians and researchers at BC Children’s Hospital and the University of British Columbia, whose mission is to develop and deliver cutting edge food allergy treatment to all families in BC who desire it.

The demand for food allergy treatment is increasing, and innovative solutions to expand access to treatment in a cost-effective way are needed, including delivering treatment to patients living in remote areas, and patients from all socioeconomic backgrounds. We are working towards a future where patients no longer have to worry about their food allergy, which will ultimately lead to improvements in quality of life, and prevention of anxiety, bullying, and social isolation.

Imagine after a few years of treatment in the FAIT program, a child with a previous near fatal reaction to peanut can now safely eat a peanut butter sandwich without fear.

Here's to the unwavering commitment of "Little Legends" and to another year of making a profound difference in the lives of countless families through our continued support of BC Children's Hospital and the FAIT Program.
