I'm helping kids EAT ALL THE THINGS!

My team, "Little Legends" is raising funds for the Food Allergy Immunotherapy (FAIT) Program, a collaboration of clinicians and researchers at BC Children’s Hospital and the University of British Columbia, whose mission is to develop and deliver cutting edge food allergy treatment to all families in BC.

Redford has had food allergies since he was 6 months old when he was first exposed to peanuts.  He had allergies to 8 foods (all the tasty stuff!!) including peanuts, walnuts/pecans, cashews/pistachios, dairy, flax, and sesame.  We've had anxiety-ridden drives to the ER, tearful epipen injections and more hives than you can count.

We were lucky enough to start OIT with the FAIT program when Redford was 10 months old.  Now, hundreds of peanuts, tons of cheese, bags of cashews/walnuts and many spoonfuls of flax and sesame later, he is no longer allergic!  Our little dude who used to swell up like a balloon at the near sight of his allergens can now eat ALL THE THINGS to his little heart's desire!  

We are fundraising for FAIT because this program works, it's amazing, it's science and it's wonderful and we want to make sure other children can have access to this life changing treatment!!
