I’m helping kids like me
I'm someone who BC Children helps because of my nephrotic syndrome. Nephrotic Syndrome is a rare kidney disease that means sometimes my kidneys don't work the way they're supposed to. I've had it [diagnosed] since I turned 5 and got all puffy and stayed at the Children's Hospital.
Even though it was during covid I still had a great time. Everyone was so nice they even gave me a birthday present!
I started with a simple idea to thank the Children's Hospital by raising money. When I was 6, I talked to my parents and they looked it up and found out about Race for the Kids and that's how it started. I got some friends to help me and with my small group we raised $1300. Last year, I fundraised over $3000!
Now I'm 9 and I want to more kids and families to join me as a team raising money and helping kids in need.
