I’m helping kids be mighty

As the only hospital in BC devoted exclusively to kids, BC Children’s provides the specialized care that seriously ill kids need to fight their health battles.

Amazing progress has been made in improving children’s health care. But the fact is, there’s still more to do when it comes to taking on the biggest health threats facing our kids.

Your donation to my RBC Race for the Kids fundraising page will help advance care for kids across the province and support experts at BC Children’s Hospital in their quest to conquer childhood illnesses.

All of you know how much I love my littles - and that being an auntie is one of my favourite things in the world. The last couple of years have been a bit of scary one to be Eva's Auntie Manda because my girl has been battling something that I can't make better: ALL or Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. She's doing well, has moved into Maintenance, and has about 9 months of treatment left. There have been (lots of) scary and tough moments along the way and I'm thankful everyday for the care that she's had at BC Children's Hospital. The doctors, nurses, and health professionals who work with these really sick little ones are special. And the researchers who work on making treatment easier for these kiddos are just as amazing and important.

Our family and Eva's people are participating in the BC Children's Hospital RBC Race for the Kids to help raise funds so that kiddos like Eva can continue to access this important care.

I invite you to donate to me or our team if you're able to - and regardless, I invite you to keep Eva and her delightfully sassy spirit in your thoughts as she continues her healing journey. Eva is a fighter and a warrior and a bright, shining star. She loves unicorns, Spiderman, rainbows, glitter, and her Grammy.
