I’m helping kids be mighty, just like me

 I am running this race for the kids because our family knows firsthand how much the hospital and its incredible team can change a life. In 2022, I was diagnosed with high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and the journey that followed was one of the hardest thing myself and our family has ever faced. Thanks to the dedication, expertise, and compassion of the doctors, nurses, and staff who cared for her, I  am now in remission and thriving.

The hospital didn’t just treat a disease—they saved my life and supported our whole family through every step of the journey. Their care gave us hope on the hardest days and helped bring me back to health. 

This year marks our fourth year running this race. Each step we take is a way to say thank you, to honor the children and families who are still fighting, and to help ensure that lifesaving care and research continue for kids like ma. We run with gratitude, hope, and the belief that every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy and strong.
