Dear Friends,

As many of you are aware, our journey with BC Children's Hospital has been deeply personal and profoundly impactful. Our daughter, Ophelia, entered this world eight weeks premature, grappling with the rare kidney condition known as Bartter Syndrome.

In those early days, our family navigated through uncharted waters, grappling with uncertainty and fear. Biweekly hospital visits, weekly blood draws, and the relentless challenge of coping with Ophelia's frequent vomiting became our new reality. Yet, amidst the storm, BC Children's Hospital shone like a guiding light, offering us hope and strength in our darkest moments.

Today, Ophelia, now a joyful six-year-old, is a testament to the extraordinary care and dedication of the hospital's staff.

BC Children’s Hospital has not merely been a medical institution; it has become an integral part of our extended family. With each visit, we are met with warmth, compassion, and a sense of belonging that transcends the clinical setting.

We are profoundly grateful to have such a remarkable institution right in our midst. As the sole hospital in our province dedicated exclusively to children, BC Children’s Hospital serves as a sanctuary for nearly a million young lives, offering hope, healing, and unparalleled care.
