Who’s Asher - the namesake of our team?

Hi team and incredible supporters. We’re running for our Bestie, our friend and the coolest kid around, Asher.  He’s a 9 year old, Grade 4 student and, in January, Asher was diagnosed with Wilm’s Tumor.  This is a rare kind of kidney cancer with a great prognosis.  Asher had his kidney removed and is now undergoing chemo at BC Children’s.  He’s been a warrior and a true champ and we couldn’t feel more honoured than to walk beside such an incredible kid during this journey.  We’re running to support the incredible care he receives on a weekly basis and for all the other kid’s doing the same.  Thank you for joining and supporting Asher’s potato mashers!
