Amazing progress has been made in improving children’s health care. But the fact is, there’s still more to do when it comes to taking on the biggest health threats facing our kids.

Why I'm running & fundraising 🤍

This year, our family is supporting the BC Children’s Hospital run in honour of my nephews, Lucas and Caleb, and in support of my brother Kyle, my sister-in-law Kiersten, and the journey they have faced as a family.

When Lucas and Caleb arrived on February 5, 2026, at just over 22 weeks, Kyle and Kiersten were suddenly thrown into a world no family is ever prepared for. In the days and months that followed, the teams at BC Women’s Hospital and BC Children’s Hospital became a constant source of care, compassion, and strength through moments filled with fear, uncertainty, hope, and love.

While Kyle and Kiersten continue to grieve the heartbreaking loss of Lucas, they are also continuing to fight alongside Caleb every step of the way. Their resilience, courage, and love through all of this have deeply impacted everyone around them.

This fundraiser is in honour of Lucas, in support of Caleb, and in gratitude for the incredible doctors, nurses, specialists, and staff who care for children and families during the most difficult times imaginable. Donations help provide life-saving care, critical resources, and hope to families navigating journeys like theirs.
