Our children may be small, but they sure are mighty!
Poppy came into the world in July 2025... and changed everything in an instant.
When Poppy was born, our family was met with something we never could have prepared for. Poppy was diagnosed with a rare condition —one of her eyes had never fully developed in my womb, and we soon discovered she has a brain tumor. My heart broke in ways I didn’t know were possible.
The weeks and months that followed were filled with hospital visits, scans, and uncertainty. Whilst we have received the news that her tumor is benign, there still lays uncertainty ahead.
Due to the position of the tumor, Poppy will continue to need monitoring as she grows. We don't know what the outcome will be, but we have HOPE!
The care we’ve received has been nothing short of incredible. The team at BC Children’s Hospital has supported not just Poppy, but our entire family—guiding us through some of the hardest moments of our lives.
So here I am today: fundraising to give back—to support the hospital that has given us care when we needed it most.
Every donation helps ensure that other families facing the unimaginable have access to the same support.
Poppy may be small, but she is unbelievably mighty.
