Why this matters to us.

I don’t think you ever expect your story to include a NICU stay, but ours did. When Elliott showed up at 28 weeks and 4 days, weighing just 2.5 pounds, everything changed pretty quickly. What followed was 58 days at BC Children’s Hospital.

There’s no real way to describe how tough that stretch was, but also how incredible the people there are. The doctors, nurses, and staff took care of Elliott every step of the way, and made sure we were okay too. As a dad, it’s a pretty helpless feeling, and they gave us confidence and reassurance when we needed it most.

We got to watch Elliott fight, grow, and get stronger every day because of the care he received there. That’s something we’ll never forget.
